Freshly painted 15mm Irregulars

Here are a few shots of my freshly painted and based 15mm figures that I use for Irregular Wars (though the basing also works for the Spanish Fury Actions system). Most figures are Grumpy's - Portuguese, Buccaneers, Tupi, Landsknechts, even Korean and Malay - but there is a liberal sprinkling of Essex as well from various ranges.
1) English or Huguenot gentlemen adventurers or Hollander upper merchants.  2) English or Huguenot volunteers (pirate crews) or Irish plantation settler militia.  3) Native scouts - proving that the Mardi Gras was invented by the Tupi...  4) Cimaroons.  5) English, Huguenot or Hollander halberdiers.  6) Ship's gun and a saker.  7) English demi-lancers, Spanish conquistadors, Spanish or Portuguese cuirassiers (or Hollander ruyters at a pinch).  8) Spanish, Portuguese or Hollander targeteers.  9) English, Spanish, Portuguese or Hollander pikemen.  10) English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hollander or Huguenot shot.  11) Spanish, Portuguese, Hollander or Huguenot crossbowmen.  12) Native mercenaries.  13) ...unlucky for some... Priest.  14) Irish or Border horse.  15) Irish galloglasses.  16) Irish bonnachts.  17) Irish kern musketeers.  18) Irish wood kern (complete with priest egging them on).  Cheers! Nic |

The latest finished paint jobs - all 15mm Grumpy ranges:
Native scouts for use in the East Indies:  A second company of Cimeroons to harry the Spanish in the New World:  A second battery of ship's guns:  A band of Hollander merchant adventurers:  I was quite pleased with how these worked out - although I ran out of chesnut ink and missed it deeply...  |
